1. Benalmádena Viewpoint

Our 5 favourite viewpoints in Málaga

From the heights of the cable car we can enjoy breathtaking views, but if we also want to see the sun disappear, the best sunsets in Malaga are waiting for us to discover them.

One of the most impressive views of Malaga that we will never forget, is the top of Mountain Calamorro, at 800 meters above the sea level. There are two ways to access this summit, the simplest one, through the Cable Car of Benlamádena. Although for those of us who have an adventurous soul and go without any hurry, we can climb through several hiking trails. Both have their charm, so … any option will be a success.

But enjoying the views of the “Costa del Sol” will not be the only thing we´ll find at such heights, a complete leisure offer awaits us at the top. And if our visit is during the summer, we are lucky! The cable car opens until midnight, so we can enjoy the sunset and the coast at night with all the lights … just amazing!

2. Maro Tower

Our 5 favourite viewpoints in Málaga 1

When we go down to sea level we sure want to take a dip in some of the best beaches and coves of Malaga, but to enjoy this coast as never before, our recommendation is to live the fun boat party in Malaga, and enjoy the sea like never before!

There can not be a ranking about the best viewpoints of Malaga without the viewpoint of the “Torre de Maro” being among our favourites. It is without a doubt one of the best places where we can contemplate the cliffs of Maro and its coastline as an unique way.

It is also a place of easy access, because we can drive to the area, and then walk to the tower, which is about 120 meters above sea level. This viewpoint also has a wide perspective of the coast of Nerja, and the best time to enjoy it will be during the sunrise and sunset … it is amazing!

3. Gibralfaro

In addition to climbing up Monte Gibralfaro, we may need some ideas for a hen party in Malaga, leaving the bride speechless. And of course, in such a special weekend, we should not wait until the last moment to book our hotel room in Malaga, now we will only have to worry about enjoying, enjoying and … enjoying!

If in our visit to Malaga we have not yet achieved the best picture, it is because we have not climbed the famous Mount of Gibralfaro. This viewpoint is one of the most beautiful of the city of Malaga, unique views of the city, the bay, the port … that only from there we can observe and stay more than astonished.

Malaga from the heights is another city, still even more beautiful and special. So, let’s take out the camera and capture one of the most incredible places in Malaga.

4. Europe Balcony

Our 5 favourite viewpoints in Málaga 3

At the end of the day,  where should we go? Well … after have a great dinner at any restaurant … let´s go party!! Here the best clubs in Málaga … so we just have to choose one and have fun.

This viewpoint is much more than a place from which we can be speechless with its wonderful views, it is a place where history is present in every corner. In addition to being one of the viewpoints of the Andalusian coast for its beauty, it is also for the history that there was at the time in this place.

Formerly this viewpoint was the Nerja Castle, “El Castillo Bajo de Nerja”, which was destroyed in the War of Independence by the French army, and remodeled in the eighteenth century. Of all that today there is only the so-called “Balcón de Europa”, that means Europe Balcony …  the name that King Alfonso XII put on him after being stunned by its beauty.

Today is one of the most visited places on the coast of Malaga, for its views and its natural environment. It worth to approach Nerja to enjoy this viewpoint and its magnificent views.

5. Lighthouse Viewpoint

Our favourite viewpoints in Málaga 4

Without a doubt, if we want to live a unique experience in Malaga we can not stay without our tickets for the Caminito del Rey Guided Tour. Another place from where we will enjoy unique views and no more, no less, that we can go through one of the most dangerous and famous bridges in the world … do we dare?

One of the most special and unique viewpoints that we can find in Malaga is the Torrox viewpoint. On the seafront of this municipality, very close to the Lighthouse, is this viewpoint, which simulates the prow of a boat, with transparent methacrylate floor, so we only have to look to the ground to see the beach under our feet.

The sunsets from this improvised boat are really special, as well as the incredible views of the coastline of Torrox.

Here we go Malaga!
