Valencia is the perfect Summer destination spot. Not only can you enjoy the beach life and beautiful weather, but there are thousands of #funplans to help you discover one of Spain’s most entertaining cities. Take a look at some of our favourites!
VISIT THE ALBUFERA NATIONAL PARK
This is a must. Contemplate the sunset in Lake Albufera and navigate its waters. You can also taste typical Valencian cuisine while enjoying the evening. This is the perfect #funplan for those who enjoy the outdoors and who wish to avoid large crowds.
BY TOUR BUS
This is one of the most fun and accessible ways to discover the Albufera national park: a two-hour guided tour that also includes a boat ride. Both options are recommended!
A TOUR OF MODERNIST VALENCIA
If you are talking about Valencia, you are talking about Modernism. Don’t forget to take the Modernist tour starting at the Estación del Norte, the Colón Market, and the Central Market (which hosts about 1,200 market stalls), and ending in the shops inside the Puerto de Valencia clock tower. You’ll enjoy great shopping as well as beautiful views of the city!
VALENCIA BY BIKE
Valencia has a bike lane that stretches over 78km, the longest one in Spain. Every day you can enjoy three-hour long routes through Valencia, the most original way to become familiar with the city. Or you can create your own route through the city. Tell us about it! Here we leave you with a very interesting suggestion 🙂
PEDALING THROUGH THE TURIA
It is one of Spain’s biggest urban parks, more than 11 km. long. The last tours were organized in April, welcoming the Spring season in good order. You can also visit, among the city’s other tourist attractions, the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and the new generation zoo Bioparc.
TROLLY TO MALAVARROSA
We invite you to relive the story of Manuel Vicent who took the trolly to Malvarrosa beach. Discover the maritime towns of the Valencian coast and recreate the book and history of Manuel during the 1950’s. In this link you can find the route from the trolly Line 4 in Valencia that will take you to Les Arenes, where La Malvarrosa beach is located! 🙂
SHOPPING ON COLÓN
Valencia’s Golden mile is located in the city’s shopping district, Colón street. Warning: this #funplan won’t fit all budget sizes. Get lost in high-fashion designer stores, stroll through large shopping centers, and discover small boutiques.
SHOPPING ON MIMBRE STREET
If you like handicrafts, we invite you to explore Valencia’s famous “basketry” street. Here you will find an array of wicker handicrafts. Mimbre street is also considered by MúsicaPeidró to be an integral part of the Modernist tour of Valencia.
IN A CATAMARAN
You can’t leave Valencia without going on a catamaran ride and taking a dip during the day or perhaps during the beautiful Valencian sunset. Boat rides last for three hours and run all day on Saturdays. They also include a catering service so that you can enjoy delicious Valencian paella. Make sure you ask for seconds!
IN A SAILBOAT
If you prefer a more intimate setting, you can try an offshore sailboat ride, where you can appreciate more closely the beautiful Mediterranean sea, sunbathing on the beach and tasting the delicious Valencian gastronomy.
Here is a list of the best restaurants in Valencia. Enjoy!
